Contact, Attitude and Phonetic Distance as Predictors of Inter-scandinavian Communication 1

L’intelligibilité des trois principales langues scandinaves (le Danois, le Norvégien et le Suédois) a été testée parmi 17 groupes de personnes au Danemark, en Norvège, en Suède et en Finlande. Tous les sujets avaient la langue scandinave de leur pays comme langue maternelle. L’attitude, le contact et les distances phonétiques entre les langues furent utilizes pour établir le pointage. Il en ressort que les distances phonétiques sont les meilleures gages de prédictions de l’intelligibilité de la langue.
